Streaming Is More Than Playing Games. It’s Building a Community.

Ask someone what a streamer does, and you’ll probably hear the same answer.
“They play video games online.”
That’s technically true, but it misses what streaming is really about.
The game is just the place where people gather. The real work is creating a community where people want to spend their time.
It Starts With You…
When I first started streaming, my goals were pretty simple.
Learn the platform. Improve every stream. Meet new people. Maybe hit the next follower milestone.
Like most creators, I spent countless hours tweaking overlays, learning OBS, fixing audio, designing graphics, and figuring out what worked and what didn’t. Every stream taught me something new.
But somewhere along the way, my goals changed.
Then It Became About Everyone Else
One of the most rewarding parts of streaming has been meeting other creators.
I’ve met artists, developers, musicians, parents, students, veterans, and people from all walks of life. Some have become close friends. Others have become people I genuinely enjoy seeing go live because I know they’ll put a smile on someone’s face.
That’s when I realized something.
Growing my own channel wasn’t enough anymore.
I wanted to help others grow too.
Building The Coven
That’s where The Coven came from.
The Coven isn’t just another stream team.
It’s a community of creators who believe that there’s room for everyone to succeed.
Whether someone is streaming to three viewers or three hundred, they deserve encouragement, honest feedback, and people who will celebrate their wins instead of seeing them as competition.
We’ve all had streams where nobody talks.
We’ve all questioned whether we should keep going.
We’ve all wondered if anyone notices the hours we put in behind the scenes.
The Coven exists because nobody should have to figure all of that out alone.
We celebrate milestones together. We raid each other. We share ideas, solve problems, and help new creators find their footing. More importantly, we build friendships that exist long after the stream ends.
Bigger Goals
These days, my success isn’t measured only by my own numbers.
Of course, hitting follower goals, subscriber milestones, and personal achievements still feels great.
But what excites me even more is watching someone on the team hit Affiliate. Watching another creator reach a goal they’ve been chasing for months. Seeing collaborations happen because two members met through the community.
Those moments are just as rewarding as any milestone on my own channel.
Maybe even more.
Streaming Is About People
Streaming teaches you a lot of technical skills.
You learn branding, graphic design, video editing, networking, public speaking, community management, event planning, and marketing.
But the most valuable lesson is that people come back because of how you make them feel.
They remember being welcomed.
They remember laughing with chat.
They remember feeling like they belonged.
The game gets people through the door.
The community is what keeps them coming back.
And for me, that’s become the real goal.
Not just building a stream.
Building a place where creators lift each other up, viewers become friends, and nobody has to grow alone.
That’s what The Coven is all about.
